Access to jobsite/width of any gates/walks and landscaping to cross with equipment?
Existing retaining walls/Are you asking that waterfall/cascade crosses this wall?
What type of soil do you think you have?  Rocky, clay, sandy etc.
What type of terrain (level, slight slope, steep slope)
Do you have an area onsite to dump excess rock and dirt or will you need to export?
What do you know about the area to be excavated as far as any utility or irrigation/drainage lines in the area?
What type of water feature (koi pond, waterfall, sterile, etc.) are you interested in and whatsize?

What type of rock do you prefer to use??  Rock can be quite expensive, Granite River Rock is the most common and reasonable?
