F-1200-V BIOLOGICAL FILTER SYSTEM


 Both of these filter systems utilize a special polyester mat filter media that has been a time tested standard in both fish farming operations and Koi pond filtration for many years. These mats resist clogging and are easily washed, providing years of service without replacement. The media is free-flowing and provides a tremendous amount of surface area for nitrifying bacteria to colonize, thus purifying and removing harmful ammonia and nitrites from the pond water.

The 1200 filters are upflow systems with a settling area below the media area to
facilitate sludge removal during backflush operation. These filter systems are identical in media and filtration capacity, with the only difference being that the 1200-V system utilizes a "V" shaped bottom/settling area, that was designed to make sludge removal more efficient.

Both of these filter systems are designed to accommodate ponds up to 5,000
gallons, depending on fish load and some other variables (consult with your dealer).

The F-1200 filter system includes:

  • Sturdy fiberglass tank (54"X30"X27" deep) and lid w/gel coat finish
  • Media support grate
  • 3 coarse polyester media mats (additional mats may be purchased separately)
  • All external and internal plumbing (1 ½" inlet, 1 ½" waste/drain, 3" outlet)
  • 1 ½" ball valve for inlet regulation
  • 1 ½" knife valve for waste removal
