Koi Ponds & Waterfalls:

Waterscape Designs, Inc. installs all ponds and waterfalls with 45-mil EPDM liner, natural stone and man-made stone.  After excavation, a geotextile underlayment is placed under the 45-mil EPDM liner.  This creates a water barrier that is also flexible with our earth movement.    There is no maintenance to the liner itself.  We do not use concrete in our designs as we feel that it is an outdated pond construction method and offers no advantage over the 45-mil EPDM liner.  Concrete has many disadvantages such as cracking, waterproofing problems, expense of installation, cure time, leaching of materials into the water and long term maintenance.
