Springflo 400 Biological Filter System

The “Springflo 400 Biological Filter System” is a high efficiency, easy to maintain biological reactor. It features over 400 square feet of surface area to colonize beneficial bacteria that purify and remove harmful ammonia and nitrites from the pond water.

This filter utilizes patented “Springflo” bio-media which provides a tremendous amount of surface area on which nitrifying bacteria will readily grow. This media is virtually uncloggable and the build-up of debris on the surface is easily dislodged and removed by using our simple backwash feature. The underlying bacteria will remain attached and the dirty water can be flushed to waste.

The Springflo media also removes small particles from the water (mechanical filtration). The huge surface area and dimpling slow the water down as it moves over the surfaces, encouraging settlement. This sediment is then easily removed by our simple backwash feature as described above.

The "Springflo 400 Filter System” is designed to accommodate ponds up to 5,000 gallons, depending on the fish load and some other variables (Consult with your dealer).

The “Springflo 400 Filter System” includes:

• Sturdy fiberglass tank (40”X29”X30” deep) and lid w/gelcoat finish
• Media support grate
• Springflo filter media
• All plumbing (1 ½" inlet, 1 ½" waste/drain, 3” outlet)
• Multiport valve for easy turn-of-the-handle filter or backwash operation
• 1 ½" knife valve for waste removal

This system is efficient, simple to operate, and requires only hookup to your regulated pump output and running a return line to the pond.
