Tetra Liner Patching Tape
- Locate the leak
and allow the area to dry (see Note). The surface of the patching tape
and the surface of liner must be clean.
- Prepare the damaged
surface by wiping with an oil-free solvent such as mineral spirits.
Avoid soap, oil or other products that could leave a film. Make certain
the cleaned area is wider than the patching tape. Allow the surface
to dry.
- Unroll and carefully
position the Tetra Patching Tape along the length of the damaged
area. The hole or tear should be centered under the tape.
- Apply even pressure
to make a tight waterproof bond. Your liner is now ready for water.
Note: Leaks
can be difficult to find. One method is to allow the water level to fall
to the level of the leak. Locate the leak, lower the water level further,
and then mend.
Note: Tetra
Patching Tape should only be used on EPDM fish Safe liner.
